The latter is a full scale production for which all work is produced in 6 days intensive training usually held in the first week of the summer break. Venues include Solihull Arts Complex, the Palace Theatre Redditch and The Birmingham Repertory Theatre.
PDS have regularly been invited to perform in the Midland Area Dance (MAD) Charity Performance held at the Tower Ballroom in September each year up until 2007 when the venue was withdrawn from use.
Penelopes also has an ongoing payment commitment to the ‘guide dogs for the blind’ sponsoring the training of many puppies.
Midlands Schools are invited to audition to perform at this Charity event biannually. Students from Penelopes have been successful in every audition and have performed at The Artrix Theatre Bromsgrove and Solihull Arts complex many times. Southport This is a Charity Gala, organized by the IDTA and is a very prestigious event. The Gala is held at the Southport Convention Centre as part of the IDTA summer congress. Approximately 20 schools are chosen to perform from across the world; Students from PDS performed ’Childsplay’ in July 2009. in 2009 Oliver Ashford (PDS resident Street Freestyle coach) was invited to lecture to the IDTA Delegates assisted by Patsy Browne-Hope.

PDS have been producing performances since its opening in 1982 and currently rotates between a more major school production at the end of an academic year and a Summer School Production. 
Pupils from Penelopes have performed at local fetes annually since opening in 1982 helping to raise monies for local groups, The students also participate in Children in need each year, when the studio holds a 1 hour sponsored dance raising well over £1000.
